It started snowin' about 5 o'clock this afternoon. No
cancellation for this wintry evening. It's on with the
show! F the snow and what a show it was! Norman hadn't
been to the Beaver valley in a few years. I can't
believe I just said those words! You mean he hasn't been
laid in a few years?! Whatever! Makin' it look easy. A
lot of insane conversation tonight. Norman was talkin'
out of his mind and playin; guitar real fine. Whitey and
Harry never missed a beat with both of them singin'
sweet. Too many good songs to mention but "Million
Tears", "Shackin' Up", "Burnin' Up" and the last tune, a
revved up slide version of "Not Fade Away" made it all
happen. Somewhere in the mountains of Pennsyltucky, in a
snowy little town called Bridgewater, rock n' roll lived
and breathed. It was glorious!

One night - 2 Great Bands!
Norman & The Guys + Glenn Pavone & The Cyclones!!! Don't
Miss it!
Right out of the box, a crazy version of
"Night Club". "Looks Are Deceivin'", "Who Dat Do Dat", "Shackin'
Up", "Million Tears". It just kept comin'.
D.J. Steve
Rohan Classic Rock 97fm RRK has been playing
"Smoke Two Joints", so Norman sent that one out to
Steve. Smoke em if you got em. "Help Me Make It Through
The Night" closed the set. Encore, "What The F*&%".
White trash indeed! Glenn Pavone & The Cyclones came on
and did great. An original song by drummer Frank, "Bang
Bang" was kickin'. Bass player, Tom "The Love Man"
Valentine did a great version of the Beatles tune "You
Can't Do That". As always, Glenn Pavone smoked on
guitar! Norman joined the Cyclones and did a killer
version of "Boilermaker". He then sang "Look What You
Done". After that, Whitey Cooper jumped in to sing James
Brown's "Try Me". Harry Bottoms joined Norman to sing
background vocals. The last song of the night was Norman
singing Johnny Cash's "Fulsom Prison Blues". You should
have heard Glenn Pavone playing the sh*& out of some
serious country licks! Norman then handed his Tiger
slide guitar to Whitey Cooper who proceeded to put on a
show of his own down on his knees. Happy Birthday
Whitey!

Who would go out to a club after the incredible overtime
Steeler's vs. Jets playoff game? The people who really
wanna have fun, that's who! Whitey said, "the Steeler
game was so exciting, he almost threw up". "Lazy Bones",
"Boilermaker", opened up the 2 hour first set. "Rock n
Roll City", "White Trash Tragedy". The music was coming
off the stage in waves. Norman said he wanted to do some
new songs. "Wild Yonder Blues" and "Shackin' Up", both
up tempo rockers, sound like winners! Both feature slide
guitar. Harry Bottoms sang "King Of The Road" and got a
giant round of applause. The instrumental classic
"T-Bird" closed out the first set. The 1 1/2 hour second
set was just as amazing as the first. An unbelievable
version of "Night Club" kicked it off. "Nothin' To Lose"
soared. The music and laughter just kept comin'. Whitey
Cooper sang a very soulful version of James Brown's "Try
Me". "Smoke Two Joints" closed out the incredible
evening.

2005 New Years Day!
The LongVue Lounge: N. Versailles, PA - Call
Jackie if lost at 412-823-9602
9:30 p.m. - 1:30 a.m. - Sat.
Most bands don't have the balls to book a gig the day
after New Years Eve, but like Norman says "I've Got More
Balls than brains". You could tell Norman was insane
tonight. With a little help from Whitey & Harry it was
just nuts. A woman in the audience tried to go toe to
toe with Norman. Bad idea! Although it did make for an
entertaining evening! Double N told her "Darlin' You're
not lookin' too good here" (appearing to still be on the
same roll that probably started on New Years Eve) so she
grabbed her crotch, flipped him the bird and yelled out
"You Guys Suck!" It seemed to please Norman. Real Life!
Ain't nothin' better! Oh yeah, the guys played great
tonight! |
