The party started at 8 o'clock, the band started at 10
o'clock. Next first set, mixing older and newere Norman
songs. First set ended with a birthday tribute to old
friend Chris Paglia. The second set began with a
birthday tribute to old friend Mark B., straight into
"Mr. Right Now", "That Ain't Gonna Happen", "I Seen Too
Much". A couple of young girls and an older fellow named
Freddy got up to sing "That's Amore" with Norman...and
if only for a moment everybody was Italian. The place
emptied out after the second set, but the guys still
played a great third set. Whitey Cooper sang "Brown Eyed
Girl", then Norman once again sang Happy Birthday to a
chick named Do-Do. Chris paglia got up and sang "Dead
Flowers", then before you know it, the Italian sunset
turned to dark.

Norman said that he and the guys hadn't played in 12
days and he was excited to get back to work. It was
obvious the guys were glad to be back plain again. "Lazy
Bones" got it rollin. Then "How You Like Me Now",
"Play", "Yesterday's Gone" and "That Girl" set up a
crushing version of "Nothin' To Lose". Norman said ins't
it funny that he and Mel Gibson both have projects about
"Redemption" coming out around the same time? Mike and
Bud from the legendary Pittsburgh band 8th Street Rox
came up and did "Fulsom Prison Blues", "Brown Eyed Girl"
and "The Last Time" and sounded great. Norman closed the
first set with the new tune "Someone I Can't Live
Without". Second set kicked with "Mr. Right Now", "That
Ain't Gonna Happen" and "I Seen Too Much". A couple of
requests for "Pots N Pans" got Harry up front to sing.
Then Norman said he wan't to try and play a new song he
wrote last week just to see if people would like it. He
said he was just gonna play one verse and one chorus but
once he got into it, he played the whole song. Keep an
ear open for it. It's called "Are You Feelin' Me?"
Norman called Mike back up to sing "Wolly Bully" while
Norman tried to sing the background vocal. In the middle
of the song Bud got back up on stage and started to sing
the right background part. The night ended with the
cover of the old Sir Douglas Quartet song "She's About A
Mover", right into "Norman", that ridiculous 1950's song
that Norman insists on doin. Hey, we're gonna love him
anyway.

What a great lookin' room! Kinda art deco "loved that!"
The first set didn't really start kickin' till the 5th
or 6th song. The song T-Bird really stood out. Norman
doesn't do that song often enough. Norman talked about a
new song he's been writing called "You Feelin' Me?" I
wonder if it has anything to do with the new cover shot
on the website? I wonder which came first, the pic or
the song? the chicken or the egg? "Play" sounded great
tonight as did "Mr. Right Now". The younger people in
the audience just stared at Norman as he was talkin'
shit like they couldn't believe what they were hearing
or seeing! Earl, an EON regular, got up to sing "Mustang
Sally". I thought he did a good job especially when the
girl got up and started humping and grinding his leg.
The Rat Man got up and did "Wild Thing" and a short
version of "Rat Man" (Bat Man) the song. Happy
Valentine's Day!

"Lazy Bones" rolled. "Cows: rocked and then "Play" took
off! The guys played great tonight. Eevryone was smilin.
Whitey Cooper sang "Chain Gang" and tonight Norman and
Harry put in the "ooogh ahh" background vocal parts.
Cool! Harry Bottoms sang "Pots N Pans" with all his
heart. Norman soared with the eagle. The new songs are
just gettin stronger. "Someone I Can;t Live Without",
"That Ain't Gonna Happen". Someone behind the bar yelled
out for "Rock N Roll City" and Norman got on it strong.
Harry sang an impromptu version of "Crossroads" to
answer a yelled out request. "Who Dat Do Dat" keeps
gettin stronger. The Rat Man made his first Penn Monroe
appearance singing "Wasted Days" and "Wild Thing"
scaring a few people, but believe it or not, winning a
few over. "Smoke Two Joints" closed the set. "I Just
Want To Rock You" encore..Thank you very much good
night. Monroeville we love you...

Norman's guitar sounded really good tonight. He always
says sometimes it's easy. A fine blend of music and
bullshit. "Nothin To Lose" stood out as the hot guitar
song. "Yesterday's Gone" stood out as groove song.
"Rainbow" and "What the F*&%" kept things real. Tonight
was Moondog's 15 year anniversay. Norman was bullshittin
about what an honor it was to be involved, but you could
tell he really meant it. "Gettin It" kicked ass in the
second set as did "Who Dat Do Dat". Chuck Koehler got up
to sing in the first set. Ronni "Moondog" Esser got up
to sing for the last couple songs (He has a great
voice). He's a lot like Norman though...Sometimes he'd
rather bullshit than sing. All in all a great night
